Lanson McCarty, Jr. age 60 of Pricey Creek Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 at his home. He was born December 21, 1960 in Knox, Indiana to the late Lanson McCarty and Joanne Joseph McCarty who survives.
Survived by his mother, his wife, Velvet Gullett McCarty, one son, Brandon Leslie (Heather) McCarty of Hazel Green, Kentucky, two daughters, Fancy Teneaka (Nathan) Elam of Salyersville, Kentucky, Terri Jo Barker Lewis of West Liberty, Kentucky, three brothers, Eddie (Maggie) McCarty, Brian (Kristi) McCarty, Jerry (Robin) McCarty all of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Vicki Barnett, Melinda McCarty both of Salyersville, Kentucky, nine grandchildren, Landon McCarty, Jordyn Cantrell, Maci McCarty, Zachery Lewis, Jaiden Brooke Risner, Haylee Risner, Chance Risner, Arabella Elam, Alyssa Helton, with a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Lanson is preceded in death by, one brother, Burt Lee McCarty, and one sister, Tammy McCarty.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Thursday, October 14, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Rick Howard, Mike Rose and John Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Kennard Cemetery at Rockhouse, Kentucky. Friends may visit the funeral home any time prior to funeral services.
