Magdalene Hale Shepherd age 91 of Gunlock, Kentucky passed away Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Riverview Health Care Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born November 20, 1929 to Kelly and Mallie Bailey Hale at Gunlock, Kentucky. Survivors include one daughter Ruby Jean (Charles) Osborne of Gunlock, Kentucky, one sister, Ernestine Hicks of Bardstown, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Kristi Rae (Sherman) Holliday, Melissa Gaye (Terry) Adams, Michael Shepherd, four great grandchildren, Austin (Betty) Bailey, Terry Adams III, Makayla Adams, and Noel Shepherd.
In addition to her parents, Magdalene is preceded in death by her husband, Van Shepherd, one son, Van Edward Shepherd, one daughter, Jewel Shepherd, three brothers, Frank Hale, Richard Hale, Norman Hale, three sisters, Carrie Hicks, Josephine Arnett, and Madge Hale.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 01, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Doug Wireman officiating. Burial followed in the Dan Shepherd Cemetery at Gunlock, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
