SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County will meet rival Morgan County for another two-game series in the 2022-23 boys’ high school basketball season.
The Hornets are scheduled to visit the Cougars for a boys’ high school basketball game in West Liberty on Monday, Dec. 5.
Magoffin County is scheduled to host Morgan County for a boys’ high school basketball matchup on Wednesday, Jan. 18, 2023.
The Hornets swept the Cougars during a two-game series in the 2021-22 season, winning 74-48 and 66-48, respectively.
Following a loss to Martin County in the semifinals of the 57th District Boys’ Basketball Tournament, Magoffin County exited the 2022-23 season 12-16.

After falling to East Carter in the semifinals of the 62nd District Boys’ Basketball Tournament, Morgan County ended the 2022-23 season 2-22.

Magoffin County will open preseason practice in mid-October.
