FLOYD COUNTY – A Salyersville man died after an early morning single-vehicle crash on KY 114 near the Floyd/Magoffin county line Saturday.
On June 20, at approximately 5:30 a.m., Kentucky State Police Post 9 was contacted by Prestonsburg Dispatch to a single-vehicle wreck on KY 114 near State Road Fork, just past the Magoffin/Floyd county line on the Floyd County side.
Kentucky State Police Public Information Officer Trooper Michael Coleman told the SI, according to the preliminary investigation Shane Collins, age 27, from Salyersville, was driving a 2013 Honda Santa Fe when his vehicle exited the roadway and overturned. He was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Floyd County coroner’s office.
The wreck is still under investigation by KSP and the cause of the wreck has not been released as of press time.
