Congratulations to the track and field athletes competing at the KHSAA 2A State Championships on Friday, June 11, at the University of Kentucky Track and Field Complex. Haley Barnett captured the 6th place medal in shot put and placed 18th in discus throw with distances of 32-9 and 78-11 respectively. Alex Hibbens captured the 8th place medal in pole vault with a height of 11-0 and 20th place in triple jump at 35-9. Stephanie Helton ended the season with a 17th place finish in the 100 m hurdles at 18.97. Alison Cantrell captured 9th place in pole vault with a height of 8-6 and 22nd in long jump at 12-7.75. Natalie Gasparac, Kaddance Gasparac, Stephanie Helton and Alison Cantrell placed 25th in the state with a time of 58.86 in the 4 by 100 meter relay. Congratulations to these outstanding athletes on their performance at the state championships.
