New Journalists at Salyersville Grade School

Sixth graders at Salyersville Grade School, along with their team teacher, Mrs. Haley Minix, have embarked on a new writing journey! A journalism class has now been offered to students eager to write for a purpose.

Sixth graders at Salyersville Grade School, along with their team teacher, Mrs. Haley Minix, have embarked on a new writing journey! A journalism class has now been offered to students eager to write for a purpose. Mrs. Haley’s journalism team will now partner with the Salyersville Independent to create articles that will be published weekly to keep their community updated on events happening in their school. Salyersville Grade School wants to thank the Salyersville Independent for their contribution of inspiration for our students! When asked what they will gain from this experience:

“This is a great experience that will help me become a distinguished writer!” –Parker Bowling

“This will be a fun experience that will increase my writing skills.” – Karleigh Jordan

Journalism members include: Parker Bowling, Gavin Arnett, Bryce Salyer, Marika Risner, Juliana Jordan, Andrea Howard, Karleigh Jordan, Kori Fletcher, Logan Fletcher, Paulinna Ratliff, Jordan Daniels, Peyton McCarty, Makenna Prater, Tayte Hall, and Kayden Gutierrez.
