Ona Mae Walters Cobern age 72 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. She was born June 19, 1949 in Bath County, Kentucky to the late Elvin Walters and the late Hazel Marie Perkins Fletcher.
Survived by two sons, Jerry (Janette) Fletcher, Terry Cobern, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Andrea Marie (Dwayne) Hunt, Jane (Anthony) Carty both of Salyersville, Kentucky, three stepsons, Edward Neil (Kathy) Cobern of Salyersville, Kentucky, Jerald Ray Cobern, Rodney (Hope) Cobern, both of Paintsville, Kentucky, two stepdaughters, Vivian Carol (Gary) Curtis of Paintsville, Kentucky, Caroletta (Josh) Collinsworth of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Joe Fletcher, four sisters, Connie Fletcher, Norma Cole, Morine Cobern, Orga Lee Crispell, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ona Mae is preceded in death by her husband, Andrew “Junior” Cobern, and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral service were conducted Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Robert May officiating. Burial followed in the Willie Shepherd Cemetery at Royalton, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
