Poe competes in Miss Kentucky

LOUISVILLE – Miss Magoffin County Brooklyn Faith Poe was elated to compete in the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant June 16-19 at the Kentucky International Convention Center in Louisville, KY. Brooklyn competed in Interview, On-Stage Impact Statement Interview, Talent and Evening Gown. She was escorted in evening gown by her Bluegrass Princess, Miss Larah Salyer, daughter of Shelia Salyer & Mike Salyer of Salyersville.

Brooklyn was one of 36 contestants from all over the state of Kentucky. Though she did not place in the Top 12, she will receive a $300.00 scholarship.

After holding the title of Miss Magoffin County since 2019, *(Covid-19) Brooklyn will relinquish her crown this coming Labor Day during the 2021 Miss Magoffin County Scholarship Pageant at the Heritage Days Festival.

The new Miss Kentucky is Haley Wheeler of Clay City, KY who secured an $18,000 scholarship.
