Raymond Pennington age 71 of Oil Springs, Kentucky passed away Monday, November 15, 2021 at the Pikeville Medical Center, Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born July 09, 1950 in Falcon, Kentucky to the late Burlie and Lillie Jewel Saylor Pennington.
Survived by his companion, Sherry Bush, one son, Ramey Jay Pennington of Paintsville, Kentucky, three daughters, Dena Rhea Pennington of Salyersville, Kentucky, Nika Rhae (Chad) Reinthaler of Paintsville, Kentucky, Alisha Clark of Paintsville, Kentucky, five brothers, Chester Pennington of Falcon, Kentucky, Clarence Pennington of West Van Lear, Kentucky, Cleabern (Theresa) Pennington of Salyersville, Kentucky, Edward Dean (Arlene) Pennington, Kentucky, Tommy Pennington of Falcon, Kentucky, Clotine (Johnny ) Adams, Avanell (Wayne) Litteral both of Falcon, Kentucky, Susie Salyer of Salyersville, Kentucky, Gradie (James) Armstrong of Falcon, Kentucky, daughter-in-law, Tosha Pennington of Salyersville, Kentucky, fourteen grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Raymond is preceded in death by two sons, Gary Pennington and Gerald “Gordy” Pennington, and one brother-in-law, Randy Salyer.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 20, 2021 from the State Road Fork United Baptist Church with Doug Auxier officiating and Chad Reinthaler delivering the eulogy. Burial will follow in the Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Friends may visit the church Thursday, November 18, 2021 after 5:00 P.M. all day Friday, and any time prior to funeral services.
Masonic Rites will be given Thursday at 7:00 P.M. by the Flat Gap Masonic Lodge #616.
