JACKSON, Ky. – Drivers who use KY 1081 between Falcon and Wheelersburg in eastern Magoffin County should prepare to use an alternate route for the next 90 days, as a project to replace a concrete box culvert will begin on Wednesday, July 29.
The project location is at milepoint 16.8, which is 0.5 miles northwest of KY 3334 and approximately 1.5 miles northwest of KY 40.
A detour route using KY 40 and KY 1437 will be signed. The road will be closed around the clock for the duration of the project. Barricades will be in place to block the road.
Approximately 500 vehicles use the closed portion of KY 1081 each day.
