PIKEVILLE – On Wednesday, October 19, 2022, the Royalton Trail Town Inc. was awarded $2 million AMLER Grant for Phase ll of their project. This grant was given to improve and complete our project by approving a restaurant, visitors center, outside stage, pavilion, Farmer Market, and a play area with equipment for children that are staying over with us. The grant is also expected to cover the cost of a paved parking lot for the public.
This should help our area become an Adventure Tourism Destination along with the paving of the 36-miles-long Dawkins Line Rail Trail.
