Rudolph “Boochie” Newsome, age 69 of Elkhorn City, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 09, 2021, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. He was born March 16, 1952, in Prestonsburg, Kentucky to the late Milford and Vada Hall Newsome.
Survived by two daughters, Margaret Newsome and Michelle Newsome, three brothers, Mickey Newsome of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Roy Newsome of Elkhorn City, Kentucky, Ricky Newsome of McDowell, Kentucky, four sisters, Juanita Collins of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, Diana Moore of McDowell, Kentucky, Linda Hall of McDowell, Kentucky, Sandy (Jimmy) Wilhighter of Ligon, Kentucky, with a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Rudolph is preceded in death by one daughter, Vanessa Newsome, three brothers, Larry Newsome, Leroy Newsome, and Monroe Newsome.
Funeral services for Rudolph were conducted Sunday, September 12, 2021, from the Church of God’s Grace with Billy Cole and Jerry Overstreet officiating. Burial followed in the Newsome-Hamilton Cemetery at Elkhorn City, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
