Shelly Elwood Fredrick Swiger age 81 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026 at his home. He was born October 21,1944 at Hazel Green, Kentucky to the late Herbert and Rosalee Campbell Swiger.
Survived by one son, Michael Darin Swiger of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, LaShell Swiger and her husband Jarrod Arnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter-in-law, Latonya Salyer Swiger of Salyersville, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Tyler Swiger, Scott Swiger, Lana Swiger, Loegan Swiger, two great grandchildren, Brayden Swiger, and Kendra Swiger.
In addition to his parents, Shelly is preceded in death by his wife, Lisa Lynn Barnett Swiger, one son, Fredrick Scott Swiger, one daughter-in-law, Lori Jean Hall Swiger, four brothers, Cash Swiger, Paul Swiger, Glenwood Swiger, Herb Swiger, two sisters, Erma Swiger Stacy, and Jayne Swiger Miller.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, July 09, 2026, from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Harmon officiating. Burial followed in the Barnett Family Cemetery at Stinson, Kentucky.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
