Water Assistance Program Available!

Big Sandy Community Action Program has announced a water assistance program, which will run from September 23 through 30 and will assist clients in Floyd, Johnson, Magoffin, Martin, and Pike counties who were affected by the recent flooding.

Assistance is first come, first serve until funds have been exhausted.

ASSISTANCE FOR WATER BILLS
We can provide assistance toward the water bill if you meet income guidelines, were impacted by recent flooding, and have applied with assistance with FEMA.

ASSISTANCE NO MATTER HOW BILLS ARE SPLIT
If your water payments is included in one bill or included in your rent, we can still offer you assistance. If utilities are included in your rent, you will need to provide a statement from your landlord stating that is the case.

To Apply
Visit local BSACAP office in person. Provide BSACAP staff with eligibility documents (social security cards for each member of the household, income for the previous month for each member of the household, the most recent water bill, a copy of the households’ application with the Federal Emergency Management Agency FEMA)to apply.

This program is funded through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act (CARES Act), the Community Services Block Grant, the Cabinet for Health and Family Services, and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
