Wayne Allen, age 72, a resident of Bear Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky; passed away Saturday, September 10, 2022 at his home.
Wayne was born August 5, 1950 in Tip Top, Kentucky the son of the late Ruben and Auglee Minix Allen. Brothers, Delane Allen and Henry J. Allen, preceded in death as well.
Wayne was employed with various careers until his retirement because of health reasons. He loved the outdoors, running dogs, hunting, Kentucky basketball, and being with family and friends.
Those left to mourn includes his wife, Sandra Arnett Allen, whom he married December 16, 1980, sons, Travis Allen of Ashland, Kentucky, James Allen of Ashland, Kentucky, Jason Allen of Salyersville, Kentucky, daughters, Casey Bolen and husband Jamie of Salyersville, Kentucky, Tracy Plummer and husband Ronald of Salyersville, Kentucky, Santana Russell and husband Jeremy of Salyersville, Kentucky, brothers, Chester Allen of Salyersville, Kentucky, Ward “Etsie” Allen of Winamac, Indiana, Chris Allen of Salyersville, Kentucky, Alvin “Hoss” Allen of Winamac, Indiana, Stoney “Hut” Allen of Salyersville, Kentucky, sisters, Belva Chambers of North Judson, Indiana, Brenda Crace of Paintsville, Kentucky, twenty grandchildren, four great grandchildren, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Wayne Allen will be conducted Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Tim Clark will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will in the Stoney Ridge Family Cemetery on Craft Creek in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Monday, September 12, after 6:00 PM, all day Tuesday, and anytime Wednesday prior to the funeral service.
