Wayne C. Howard age 81 of Painters Lick, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, November 09, 2021 at his home. He was born May 24, 1940 in Knox, Indiana to the late Ernest Howard and the late Irene Salyer Arnett.
Survived by his wife, Barbara Bailey Howard, one daughter, Robyn and husband Anthony Rose of Salyersville, Kentucky, three grandchildren, Jason and wife Aimee Back of Salyersville, Kentucky, Joshua Back of Lexington, Kentucky, Caitlyn Back of Holopaw, Florida, three great grandchildren, Kaden Back, Benson Back, Willow Back, five brothers, Albert Howard, David Cordell, Douglas Arnett all of Salyersville, Kentucky, Steve Howard, Jeff Howard both of Royalton, Kentucky, four sisters, Pauletta Reed of Salyersville, Kentucky, Vicky Johnson of White Pine, Tennessee, Marsha Howard of Lexington, Kentucky, Ernestetta Embry of Royalton, Kentucky, with a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wayne is preceded in death by his stepmother, Phyllis Howard, one brother, Ricky Lee Howard, three sisters, Karen Sue Howard, Diane Howard, and Traci Avera.
Wayne was a Union Electrician by trade and a member of the IBEW Local 369. He belonged to the Salyersville Masonic Lodge #769. Wayne enjoyed many things in life, but when it came to the grandchildren, you would find him proudly cheering them on at whatever sporting event that would be taking place. Most importantly he gave his life to the Lord.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, November 15, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Lindsey Meade officiating. Burial followed in the Howard Family Cemetery at Swampton, Kentucky.
Masonic Rites were given Sunday by the Salyersville Masonic Lodge #769 F&AM.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
