Kernie B. Roark

Kernie B. Roark age 78 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, August 25, 2025 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born August 10, 1947 at Cow Creek, Kentucky to the late Hayden and Delphie Stephens Roark.

Survived by one son, Harold (Jenny) Roark of Salyersville, Kentucky, two daughters, Loretta (A.J.) Roark of Salyersville, Kentucky, Tracey Roark (Daniel) McKenzie of Flat Gap, Kentucky, three sisters, Nevada Fraser of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, Nebraska Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Darlene Purpis of Flemingsburg, Kentucky, six grandchildren, Tasha Banks, Dustin Roark, Andrew “Andy” Roark, Cody Roark, Dustin McKenzie, Danielle McKenzie, five great grandchildren, Ayden Roark, Diesel Roark, Carter Banks, Madison Banks, and Eli Banks.

In addition to his parents, Kernie is preceded in death by his wife, Bonnie Lou Fletcher Roark, five brothers, Calvin Roark, Donald Roark, Billy Roark, William Roark, infant brother, two sisters, Helen Conley, Renella Roark, and one great grandson, Tucker Roark.

Friends may visit the Bethlehem to Calvary Church at 4373 Hwy 460 W, Salyersville, Kentucky, all-day Thursday, August 28, 2025, after 10:00 A.M. Friday, at the funeral home prior to funeral services. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 P.M. Friday, August 29, 2025 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Reed and Shawn Yates officiating. Burial will follow in the Patrick-Lovely Cemetery at Johnson Fork, Kentucky.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
