Bethel Patrick Stephens, age 71 of Salyersville, Ky., passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026 at Centerpoint Health in Winchester, Ky. She was born on January 3, 1955 at home at Fritz, Ky. to the late Dean and Alene Ray Patrick.
Bethel is survived by her daughter, Janet (James) Rice, one granddaughter, Haley (Trenton) Caldwell, one great-granddaughter, Lailee Jane Willow Bain, and three grandsons, Nathan, Noah, and Nick Rice. She is also survived by one brother, Dallas (Mary Ann) Patrick, two sisters, Berniece Stephens, Jessica (Phillip) Elam, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, Bethel is preceded in death by her husband Lance, one son Shawn, five brothers, Brice, Gary, Paul, Douglas, and Larry Dean Patrick, three sisters, Barbara Haman, Christine Stubbe, and Vonda Rasey, four nephews, Curtis and Timothy Patrick, Michael Dean Stephens, and Jacob Ryan Patrick, and three nieces, Earlene, Christal, and Dakota Patrick.
Funeral services for Bethel were conducted Saturday, September 19, 2026 from the Fritz Church of God with Krouc Noble officiating. Burial followed in the Patrick Family Cemetery on Far Middle Fork. There was also a church service Friday evening with Shawn Yates and David Lafountaine officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
