SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County shut out Martin County 3-0 in a 57th District volleyball match on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
Continuing to show improvement in the 2026 high school volleyball season, Magoffin County moved to 6-7 overall after registering the win.
As a result of the loss, Martin County dropped to 2-14 overall.
Magoffin County won 25-14, 25-22, 25-20.
Karlee Wallen, Ava Hensley, Ellie Allen, Larah Salyer, Lucy Whitaker, Ashlynn Risner, Finley Rudd, Kylee Glidden, Ileana Torices, Ava Gibson, Addyson McCarty and Maddie Salyer each aided Magoffin County in its shutout win.
Magoffin County secured the win after dropping a 57th District match to Martin County in Inez exactly one week earlier. Martin County outlasted Magoffin County 3-2 in a 57th District match on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Both Magoffin County and Martin County will compete in the upcoming 57th District Volleyball Tournament.
