SALYERSVILLE – A Magoffin County grand jury released the following indictments this past week, handed down on September 4 and released as the defendants were served:
Zachariah Donta, 37, of Patrick Drive, in Salyersville, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, methamphetamine (Class D felony); first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, fentanyl (Class D felony); possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor); and first-degree persistent felony offender (penalty enhancement). According to the indictment, on or about June 15, 2025, Donta allegedly possessed quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as items used for the purpose of consuming the controlled substances. He was previously convicted with felonies in a 2023 Morgan County case and a 2019 Magoffin County case.
Megan Howard, 30, of Lick Creek Road, in Salyersville, is charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, methamphetamine (Class D felony); first-degree possession of a controlled substance, first offense, fentanyl (Class D felony); and possession of drug paraphernalia (Class A misdemeanor). According to the indictment, on or about June 15, 2025, Howard allegedly possessed quantities of methamphetamine and fentanyl, as well as items used for the purpose of consuming the controlled substances.
Indictments are only released to the public after the defendants have been served.
