SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County junior Caleb Lovely is among the top returning high school defensive linemen in the state.
Lovely emerged as one of the state’s top defensive linemen in the 2025 high school football season.
The talented Lovely, who led Magoffin County defensively in the 2025 high school football season, excelled throughout his sophomore campaign.
Lovely was a force up front along Magoffin County’s defensive line in the 2025 high school football season. As a sophomore, Lovely recorded 60 tackles, 15.5 tackles for losses, 6.5 sacks 3 forced fumbles and 1 fumble recovery in 10 games for the Hornets. Lovely led Magoffin County in tackles, tackles for losses and sacks.
A standout for Magoffin County, Lovely carried momentum into the high school football offseason.
In addition to thriving on the gridiron, Lovely delivered for Magoffin County in the 2025-26 boys’ high school basketball season.
Lovely is also among the top returning football players in Class 3A.
