Jane “Janie” Russell Gibson age 62 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, January 26, 2026 at her home. She was born February 17, 1963 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to Glenn and the late Mary Sue Williams Russell.
Survivors include; her husband of 38 years Greg Gibson, two daughters; Jocelyn Gibson and Jalyssa (Billy Jack) Holliday of Salyersville, Kentucky, one sister; Sandra K. (Marty) Connelley of Salyersville, Kentucky, three brothers; Dan (Kathy) Russell, Jeffery (Tina) Russell and Glenn Gregory (Darlene) Russell all of Salyersville, Kentucky and two grandchildren; Phoenyx Holliday and Pierson Holliday.
Jane was a member of the Anchor Freewill Baptist Church and a Beautician.
Funeral services were conducted Thursday, January 29, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Floyd Arnett and Beecher Junior McCarty officiating. Burial followed in the Russell Cemetery at Coon Creek, Kentucky.
Pallbearers: B.J. Holliday, Bryce Helton, Martin Connelley, John Martin Connelley, Brian Russell, Brandon Russell, Garrett Russell, Daniel Russell, Austin Gibson, Zach Gibson and Josh Montgomery.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
