Ina Mae Shepherd Risner age 64 of Royalton, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2026 at the U.K. Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky. She was born May 20, 1961 at Gunlock, Kentucky to the late Clarence Shepherd and the late Grace Whitaker Shepherd Wireman.
Survived by her husband, Aaron Risner, three sons, Christopher Aaron (Marsha) Risner of Salyersville, Kentucky, Mark Anthony (Jessica) Risner of Charleston, West Virginia, Stephen Dewayne (Natalie) Risner of Salyersville, Kentucky, two brothers, Carl (Della) Shepherd of Hueysville, Kentucky, Larry Kenneth (Renee) Shepherd of Salyersville, Kentucky, three sisters, Dorothy Shepherd Wireman of Gunlock, Kentucky, Phyllis Shepherd Holliday of Salyersville, Kentucky, Jewel Wireman of Richmond, Kentucky, ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Ina Mae is preceded in death by three brothers, Hurshell Shepherd, Clarence Edward “Jake” Shepherd, and Don Shepherd.
Funeral services were conducted Sunday, April 12, 2026 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Kenny Bailey officiating. Burial followed in the Aaron and Ina Mae Risner Cemetery at Royalton, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
