Florence Marie Howard, age 70, a resident of Greencroft Drive in Goshen, Indiana, formally of Salyersville, Kentucky, passed peacefully Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Greencroft Health Care Center in Goshen, Indiana.
Born April 30, 1955, in Marysville, Ohio the daughter of John Jr. and Amanda Francis “Mandy” Gullett Prater. Husband, Robert Franklin Howard also preceded in death.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends as often as she was able.
Those left to mourn includes daughter, Jackie Gibbs and husband David of Milford, Indiana, son, Johnnie Howard of Goshen, Indiana, sisters, Dora Ann Collett and husband Jerry of Salyersville, Kentucky, Gay Dawn McGarey of Lexington, Kentucky, brothers, Danny Ray Howard and wife Haroletta of Salyersville, Kentucky, Johnnie “Junior” Howard and companion Darlene Daniels of Louisa, Kentucky, four grandchildren, Jordan Gibbs, Josie Gibbs, Isabella Howard, Keaton Howard, a host of family and friends who love and miss her.
Funeral services for Florence Marie Howard will be conducted Friday, May 1, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the Salyersville First Baptist Church on Dixie Avenue in Salyersville, Kentucky. Clergy Ben Martin will deliver comforting words on the day of services. Interment will follow in the Howard & Slone Cemetery on Flat Fork in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends Friday, May 1, after 11:00 AM and any time prior to funeral services.
