Coney “Sambo” Brown age 64 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, June 08, 2026 at the UK Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born September 12, 1961 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Fred Brown and Tressie Risner Brown who survives. Also surviving are one son; Jeremy Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, three daughters; Tiffany Brown of London, Kentucky, Stacy Brown of Prestonsburg, Kentucky and Kyra Minix of London, Kentucky, two brothers; Michael Brown and Ronnie Brown of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters; Martha Brown and Deloris Jean Brown of Salyersville, Kentucky, 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild also survives.
In addition to his father he is preceded in death by one son; Freddy Brown and one brother; Roy David Brown.
Funeral services for Coney “Sambo” Brown will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday, June 12, 2026 from the Bethlehem To Calvary Apostolic Church, with Johnny Reed and Michael Yates officiating. Burial will follow at the Burton Fork Cemetery, Burton Fork, Kentucky. Friends may visit the Bethlehem To Calvary Apostolic Church after 6 p.m. Thursday, June 11, 2026 and anytime Friday prior to funeral services.
