Phillip Hackworth, age 71, a resident of Rice Branch Road in Prestonsburg, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2026, peacefully at his home surrounded by loved ones.
Born May 18, 1955, in Jackson, Michigan the son of the late Robert and Orgie Marshall Hackworth. Sister, Janet Hackworth, brother, Chuck Hackworth, also preceded in death.
Phillip was a junk yard owner. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and spending time with family and friends.
Those left to mourn includes wife, Cheryl Tibbs Hackworth of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, daughters, Mandy Hackworth of Ohio, Stephanie Hackworth of Ohio, son, Michael David Brown of Prestonsburg, Kentucky, sisters Darlene Jenkins of Ohio, Sue Meyers of Ohio, brother, Carl Hackworth of Ohio, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Phillip Hackworth will be conducted Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 1:00 PM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Billy Joe Cole and Herman Robert’s will deliver comforting words on the day of service. Interment will follow in the Bluegrass Cemetery in Salyersville, Kentucky. The family will welcome friends any time prior to the funeral service.
