Charles Standifer age 76 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed Friday, September 18, 2026 at the Prestonsburg Health Care in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born October 01, 1949 in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Zack and Clara Young Standifer.
Survivors include his wife; Janet Wireman Standifer, one son; Charles Gregory (Cindy) Standifer of Paintsville, Kentucky, , two daughters; Stephanie Preston Mullins, and Leah (Scott) Jenkins both of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother; Adam Standifer of McQuady, Kentucky, two sisters; Joyce Links of Carlisle, Indiana, Mary Trusty of Alger, Ohio, five grandchildren; Charles Austin Preston, Stephen Alex Preston, Kennedy Gauge Mullins, Whitney Sha (Skylar) King, Zachary Scott Jenkins, and one great grandson; Owen Douglas King.
In addition to his parents, Charles is preceded in death by four brothers; James Standifer, John Standifer, Jack Standifer, Cecil Standifer, three sisters; Louise Watson, Mavis Zoller, and Ruth Fletcher.
Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army, a dedicated member of the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15, and a retired Blaster. Charles dedicated his life to Jesus on August 18, 2026.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Charles Standifer at a later date, and will be announced b the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
There will be military rites given by the Salyersville D.A.V Chapter 15 the day of the Celebration of Life.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
