Kurt Gausel age 79 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Friday, December 10, 2021 at the Highlands Regional Medical Center in Prestonsburg, Kentucky. He was born March 20, 1942 in Stavanger, Norway to John and Sue Gausel.
He is survived by his wife, Judith Patton Gausel, three sons, Steve Gausel, Mark Gausel, Eric Gausel, one daughter, Lisa Dunnant, one stepson, William Noble, one stepdaughter, Kimberly Hicks, one brother, Hans-Gergen Gausel, several grandchildren, several great grandchildren, with a host of nieces, nephews, church family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Kurt is preceded in death by one sister Elsa Gausel.
Kurt retired from the United States Air Force and dedicated member of the Bethel Bible Church.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, December 14, 2021 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Clark officiating. Burial followed in the Highlands Memorial Park in Staffordsville, Kentucky.
Military Rites will be given by the Salyersville D.A.V. Chapter 15 the day of service.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
