Ronnie Douglas “Goober” Gilbert age 60 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, July 09, 2024 at the U.K. Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. He was born April 27, 1964 at Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Robert and Martha Rowe Gilbert.
Survived by one daughter, Juanita (Thomas) Brown of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sons, Ronnie “Kevin” (Lisa) Gilbert, Jonathon (Kristan) Trusty both of Salyersville, Kentucky, step-son, Wallace Gibson of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, Junior Gilbert of Paintsville, Kentucky, two sisters, Wanda Blodgett of Oakland Park, Kansas, Audrey Lusby of Jackson, Michigan, four grandchildren, Landon Perkins, Bentley Perkins, Emberlie Brown, and Callon Trusty.
In addition to his parents, Ronnie is preceded in death by his companion, Mary Prater, two brothers, Harold Adams, J.B. Adams, and one sister, Juanita Cole.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday, July 13, 2024 from the Swampton United Baptist Church with Randy Brown officiating. Burial followed in the Family Cemetery at H.B. Arnett Road, Salyersville, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
