John Brown, Sr., age 73 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Paintsville ARH in Paintsville, Kentucky. He was born December 15, 1950 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Clifford and Crilda Frasure Brown.
Survived by his wife, Shirley Puckett Brown, two sons, John (Sandy) Brown, Jr. of Lake Placid, Florida, Ronald (Samantha) Brown of Salyersville, Kentucky, one daughter, Sabrina Gail (Bill) Shepherd of Salyersville, Kentucky, son-in-law, Johnny Arnett of Salyersville, Kentucky, three brothers, Jack Brown, Terry Brown Will Brown all of Salyersville, Kentucky, DeMorris Brown of Marion, Ohio, two sisters, Bessie Brown, Ollie Howard both of Salyersville, Kentucky, twelve grandchildren, Crilda (Alyssa) Brown, Jonathan (Jessica) Arnett, Nathan (Chesi) Arnett, Matthew (Breanna) Arnett, Brett Michael Davis, Shirley (Greg) Shepherd, Ryan (Katie) Shepherd, Braxton Shepherd, Kayla Shepherd, Madison Brown, Lindsey Brown, Alyveea Brown, and eleven great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, John is preceded in death by one daughter, Maxie Mae Arnett, four brothers, Paul Brown, Ernie Brown, Daniel Brown, Clifford Junior Brown, three sisters, Becky Brown, Judy Salyer, and Sheila Montgomery.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, August 02, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Brown, Jr., and Jonathan Arnett officiating. Burial followed in the Brown and Arnett Cemetery at Painters Lick, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
