SALYERSVILLE – A Johnson County man was picked up on Friday, January 10, on an arrest warrant from a Magoffin County grand jury indictment issued in 2020.
Austin B. Gipson, 28, of Flat Gap, was indicted on March 5, 2020, and charged with five counts of first-degree wanton endangerment (Class D felonies).
According to the indictment, on or about November 29, 2019, Gipson allegedly, while under circumstances manifesting extreme indifference to the value of life, he wantonly engaged in conduct which created a substantial danger of death or serious physical injury to five other people.
Gipson’s indictment was released after his arrest last Friday, and he remains in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center at press time. He is set to be arraigned in Magoffin County court today, January 16.
