Anna Yvonne Owens age 94 of Salyersville, Kentucky was called to her heavenly home November 26, 2020 at the Paul B Hall Hospital, Paintsville, Kentucky.  She was born June 15th, 1926, at Grassy Creek, Kentucky, the daughter of C N and Geneva Stamper.

Yvonne was the epitome of the Southern Woman, always kind and considerate of everyone.  She was independent, hardworking and a wonderful homemaker. She leaves the legacy of being an excellent wife, mother, and grandmother.

Yvonne was a member of the Salyersville First Baptist Church.  She attended faithfully and enjoyed talking and socializing with her church family.

This eulogy is a tribute to the life and homecoming of Yvonne Owens. We can never include all that her life encompassed, but she has left us with many memories that will return from time to time and will keep her alive in our hearts.  We will miss her, but the verse from James 4:14 comes to mind – What is your life? It is even as a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanished away.

Our minds are content, and our hearts are at peace because we know Yvonne has gone home to be with the Lord Jesus Christ.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to the Salyersville First Baptist Church.  A private graveside service for immediate family only was held on Wednesday, December 02, 2020 from the Owens Cemetery on Lick Creek road. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.

Masks and social distancing are requested.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.  www.magoffincountyfuneralhome.com
