SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County High School archers Blake Collinsworth and Chance Gipson have advanced to the 2022 KHSAA State Archery Tournament.
Collinsworth and Gipson paced Magoffin County at the KHSAA Region 11 Archery Tournament on Saturday, April 2, finishing third and fourth, respectively.
Leading the Hornets in the region tournament, Collinsworth recorded a score of 286.
Gipson compiled a score of 285, finishing directly behind his teammate.
Magoffin County finished sixth out of 11 teams in the KHSAA Region 11 Archery Tournament.
Landon Collinsworth, Taylor Elkins, Devin Fitch, Eli Howard, Eli Allen, Jordan Gayheart, Isiah Watkins, Conner Slusher, Weston Purcell and Charles Helton also competed for Magoffin County in the region tournament.
The state archery tournament is scheduled to be held at Ephram White Gymnasium in Bowling Green on Tuesday, April 19. The first flight for the state tournament is slated for 1:30 p.m..
