“It’s nice to see of our players getting recognized by other coaches in the district,” said Magoffin County Coach John DeRossett. “We are proud of all of our players and look forward to 2023. We are already back in the weightroom, and the players are energized. We were going to wait until after Christmas to resume team workouts, but the players kept wanting to get back in the weightroom. So, we are open for business at Magoffin County.”

Student-athletes from several grades are already preparing for the 2023 high school football season. Magoffin County has experienced success with each of its football teams on various levels in the 2022-23 schoolyear.

“We have a bunch of middle school players coming in to work out,” added DeRossett. “We had a productive 2022 and the 2023 season will be here before we know it.”
