Emily Caroline Gardner Russell, age 82 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021, at the Pikeville Medical Center in Pikeville, Kentucky. She was born March 01, 1939, in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Byron R. and Julia May Gardner.
Survived by one daughter, Cynathia and husband Tim Hendershot of Florida, one brother, Ben F. Gardner of Salyersville, one sister, Sarah and husband Luther Dean Dunn of Salyersville, Kentucky, with host of special nieces and nephews, and “her Boys” Byron and Stuart.
In addition to her parents, Emily is preceded in death by her husband, Kash Russell, two brothers, Stanley Gardner, Tone Gardner, Jr., three sisters-in-law Virginia Gardner, Lillian Gardner, and Ruth Gardner.
Emily was a faithful member of the Prater Memorial United Methodist Church and a retired teacher from the Magoffin County School System.
A private service and burial will be held at the Gardner Farm Friday, September 10, 2021, at 1:00 P.M.
COVID precautions will be observed, mask required.
In lieu of flowers, family has requested donations may be made to the Prater Memorial United Methodist Church, S. Church Street, Salyersville, Kentucky 41465.
