PRESTONSBURG, Ky. (December 08, 2022) – Kentucky State Police Pikeville Post received a 911 call regarding a two-vehicle fatal collision in Pike County at approximately 6:53 p.m. on December 06, 2022. The collision occurred on Kentucky Route 114 in the Prestonsburg community of Floyd County.
Upon arrival and through investigation, troopers discovered 52-year-old Linda Naimo of Georgetown was operating a 2002 Dodge pickup on Kentucky Route 114 when her vehicle crossed the center line striking a 2019 Nissan pickup, being operated by 67-year-old Irvine Doss of Forest Hills. Doss along with 48-year-old Carolyn Gibson, a passenger of the Dodge pickup was pronounced deceased on scene by the Floyd County Coroner’s Office. The investigation is ongoing by KSP Accident Reconstructionist, Detective Josh Scott.
Detective Scott was assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police Post 9 personnel, Middle Creek Volunteer Fire Department, and Lifeguard Ambulance Service.

MIDDLE CREEK – Two fatalities have been reported from a head-on collision that occurred Tuesday evening on KY Rt. 114 in the Middle Creek area of Floyd County.
At press time, no names or specific information has been released by officials, and Kentucky State Police Post 9 is still investigating the wreck that occurred between Salyersville and Prestonsburg.
The road remained shut down from roughly 8 p.m. on December 6 until 4 a.m. on December 7.
