Helen Jean Collins Combs age 82 of Elk Creek Road, Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at her home. She was born May 30, 1938 in Salyersville, Kentucky to the late Beecher and Josephine Crace Collins.
Survivors include, one son, Donald Ray “Duck” (Karen) Combs of Radcliff, Kentucky, two daughters, Connie (Donnie) Arnett, Minnie Johnson, both of Salyersville, Kentucky, one brother, James (June) Collins of London, Ohio, one special niece, Willetta “Willy Clay” Bailey of Salyersville, Kentucky, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, and five great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her husband, John Morris Combs, a special friend, Herbert “Hootie” Lemaster, five sons, Edward Darrell Combs, Jimmy Lynn “Jim Bo” Combs, Paul “Bob” Combs, Jack David “Beecher” Combs, Herbert Charles “Herbie” Lemaster, three brothers, Rufus Collins, Bobby Joe Collins, Roy Lee Collins, three sisters, Aileen Collins, Orpah Collins, Lois Jane Arnett, one son-in-law, David Johnson, one grandson- in- law, Joel Clay Watkins, one great grandchild, Sierra Johnson, and four Angel great grandbabies.
Funeral services for Helen were conducted at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, February 24, 2021 from the Salyersville Trinity Full Gospel Church with Steven Patrick officiating. Burial followed in the Combs Cemetery at Elk Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
