SALYERSVILLE — Notching back-to-back high school softball wins, Magoffin County beat Elliott County and Prestonsburg at the start of the week.
Magoffin County shut out host Elliott County, a member of the bordering 16th Region, 8-0 on Monday, May 9.
Remaining in the win column, Magoffin County pulled away to beat 15th Region rival Prestonsburg 16-2 in six innings on Tuesday, May 10.
With the win over homestanding Prestonsburg, Magoffin County claimed its third victory in four games.

Magoffin County was hosting East Ridge (15th Region) for a regular season finale at press time on Wednesday, May 11.
