SALYERSVILLE – Less than two weeks from the opening tip of the 2020-21 boys’ high school basketball season, Magoffin County’s roster features seven seniors.
Several upperclassmen are ready to contribute for Magoffin County in the 2020-21 boys’ high school basketball season.
The seniors poised to take the floor for Magoffin County during the 2020-21 boys’ high school basketball season are Lucas Litteral (F), Andrew Mortimer (F), Ethan Prewitt (F), Ian Prewitt (F), Grant Rudd (G), Levi Rudd (F) and Isaiah Salyer (G).
Head coach Scott Castle guides the Hornets. Magoffin County has compiled a 15-15 record in back-to-back seasons.
Magoffin County resumed preseason practice less than two weeks ago. In November, COVID-19 sidelined Magoffin County and the rest of the boys’ high school basketball teams from throughout the state.
Magoffin County’s 2020-21 schedule includes opponents Pike County Central, Morgan County, Jenkins, Floyd Central, Johnson Central, East Ridge, Prestonsburg, Paintsville, Belfry, Shelby Valley, Martin County, Letcher County Central, Pikeville and Lawrence County.
