PARIS – Magoffin County competed in the KHSAA Class 2A State Cross Country Meet at Bourbon County Park on Friday, Oct. 29, finishing 30th in the boys’ team standings.
North Oldham won the Class 2A boys’ cross country state title.
Additional teams competing in the Class 2A boys’ cross country state meet included Corbin, Webster County, Highlands, Boyd County, Thomas Nelson, Bell County, Trigg County, Calloway County, Christian Academy-Louisville, Harlan County, LaRue County, Spencer County, Lexington Catholic, John Hardin, McCreary Central, Russell, Bourbon County, Butler County, Mercer County, Ashland, Scott, Warren East, Mason County, Allen County-Scottsville, Union County, Western Hills, Shelby County and Pike County Central.
The individual results for the Magoffin County boys’ cross country team were as follows: 223rd – Matthew Hall, 22:44.24; 236th – Braxton Lemaster, 25:24.25; 240th – Luke Wireman, 28:38.61; 241st – Eli Howard, 29:39.71; 242nd – Mayson Bailey, 36:06.16; 243rd – Collin Martin, 38:01.81.
Four runners competed for the Magoffin County girls’ cross country team in the Class 2A State Meet. The individual results for the Magoffin County girls’ cross country team were as follows: 214th – Alison Cantrell, 31:16.72; 215th – Miley Back, 31:54.25; 217th – Lyndsey Wireman, 36:19.03; 219th – McKenzie Back, 40:41.82.
