SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County hosted the Fight Night Lights Youth Camp on Friday, June 19.
Young players from throughout Magoffin County attended the youth camp and experienced football under the Friday night lights.
Students entering second grade-eighth grade were eligible to attend the camp, which was under the direction of Magoffin County coaching staff.
During the camp, campers participated in drills with current Magoffin County High School football players and alumni who are currently competing at the next level.
First-year head coach Nathan Perkins is preparing to guide Magoffin County in the 2026 high school football season. Perkins has been a head coach on the middle school level. A University of Pikeville graduate, Perkins has previously been the offensive coordinator for the Hornets.
