SALYERSVILLE — The Magoffin County High School volleyball team will hold open gym practices for any female student-athletes in grades 8-12 who are planning to try out for the squad.
The open gym practices will start on Tuesday, May 30. The practices will be held from 5-6:30 p.m. each Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.
Anyone planning to participate in open gym practices must have a current sports physical.
The Lady Hornets are preparing for the 2023 high school volleyball season. Magoffin County competes in the 15th Region. The alignment for the 15th Region is as follows: District 57 – Johnson Central, Magoffin County, Martin County, Paintsville; District 58 – Betsy Layne, Floyd Central, Lawrence County, Prestonsburg; District 59 – East Ridge, Pikeville, Shelby Valley; District 60 – Belfry, Phelps, Piarist, Pike County Central.
Teams from throughout the state are making preparations for the 2023 high school volleyball season. Magoffin County will make its 2023 high school volleyball season debut in August. The Lady Hornets’ 2023 schedule will be published in an upcoming edition.
