SALYERSVILLE — Meet the Hornets will be held at the Magoffin County High School Baseball Field on Saturday, March 11.
The preseason baseball event was previously scheduled to be held on Saturday, March 4. Weather forced Meet the Hornets to be rescheduled.
Admission will be $2 for adults. Students and children will be admitted free.
Magoffin County Youth Baseball/Softball players will be introduced at 11 a.m.
Middle school players will be introduced at noon and participate in an inter-squad scrimmage following their introductions.
Both the middle school and high school baseball teams will take the field.
High school players will be introduced at 2 p.m. and participate in an inter-squad scrimmage after their introductions.
A Magoffin County Baseball alumni softball game is slated to be held at 4 p.m.
Several experienced players are back for Magoffin County, which is scheduled to host Menifee County for its 2023 season opener at 6 p.m. on Monday, March 13. Coach Jacob Litteral guides the Hornets.
