Michael Todd Prater, age 50, a resident of Linden Hurst Drive in Lexington, Kentucky; passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky. Michael was born May 13, 1970 in McDowell, Kentucky to Bill and Carolyn Osborne Prater.
Michael was a graduate of Eastern Kentucky University where he received a Bachelors Degree in Business and Marketing. He was employed in automobile sales and service. Those left to mourn includes his wife, Dora Jayne Bailey Prater, whom he married October 2, 2016, daughter, Carolyn Robinson of Prospect, Kentucky, brothers, Craig Prater of Lexington, Kentucky, David Prater of North Carolina, a host of family and friends who love and miss him.
Funeral services for Michael Todd Prater were conducted Saturday, March 13, 2021 at 11:00 AM from the chapel of the Salyersville Funeral Home. Clergy Travis Lynch delivered comforting words on the day of the service. Interment followed in the Bailey Family Cemetery on Higgins Branch in Salyersville, Kentucky.
