Stelson Jay Stephens age 69 of Winchester, Kentucky formerly of Magoffin County, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2024 at the Fountain Circle Care and Rehab Center in Winchester, Kentucky. He was born December 17, 1954 in Magoffin County, Kentucky to the late Jim and Lola King Stephens.
Survived by five daughters, Shanna Stephens of Nicholasville, Kentucky, Andrea (Scott) Castle of Salyersville, Kentucky, Lori (Neal) Howard of Salyersville, Kentucky, Carrie Hammann of Lexington, Kentucky, Angie Handshoe of Salyersville, Kentucky, two sisters, Barbara Casebolt of Salyersville, Kentucky, Shirley Howard of Winchester, Kentucky, and twelve grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Stelson is preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Elrod Stephens, one son, Morgan Stephens, one daughter, Casey Stephens, and one sister, Cleda Russell.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from the Magoffin County Funeral Home Chapel with Joe Harman officiating. Burial followed in the Stephens Cemetery at Cow Creek, Kentucky.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Magoffin County Funeral Home.
