SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County junior pitcher Jaden Williams was among the state’s top home run hitters during the 2023 high school softball season.
Williams belted 12 home runs in 90 at-bats during her junior campaign. The Magoffin County junior was one of nine players from around the state to hit a dozen home runs. Williams ranked 24th in the state in the key offensive category.
Montgomery County slugger Reaghan Oney smacked a state-leading 21 home runs during the 2023 high school softball season.
An All-State honoree, Williams batted .478 with 43 hits, 45 RBIs, 12 home runs and five doubles in 29 games. Offensively, Williams, who scored 12 runs, led Magoffin County in home runs, batting average, hits and RBIs.
Excelling both offensively and defensively for Magoffin County, Williams compiled a 17-10 record in the circle. Williams recorded 150 strikeouts.
Poised to carry momentum over into her senior year, Williams will be looking to continue to lead the Magoffin County softball program.
