SALYERSVILLE — Magoffin County entered the week poised to host its first open gym session of the high school volleyball preseason from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Thursday, July 10.
The Lady Hornets are due back in the Magoffin County High School Gym after the conclusion of the KHSAA Dead Period.
Several experienced players will be contributing for Magoffin County in the 2025 high school volleyball season.
The Lady Hornets showed improvement in the 2024 high school volleyball season, compiling a 7-15 overall record. Magoffin County won its last three regular season matches in 2024.
The Lady Hornets compete in the 57th District and the 15th Region. Improving Magoffin County registered wins over teams from multiple regions during the 2024 high school volleyball season.
Perennial title contender Paintsville is the reigning champion in both the 57th District and the 15th Region.
Magoffin County will take the court for its 2025 season opener in August.
