Pastor Michael Ray Tackett, age 64 of Salyersville, Kentucky passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, Kentucky. The son of Mitchell and Stella Tackett, he was born on May 10, 1961 in Paintsville, Kentucky. He is survived by his loving wife, Annette Tackett, his daughter, Stephanie Moore (married to Austin Moore), and one precious granddaughter, Lillian Moore. He is also survived by his brother Anthony Tackett, his sister Wilma Adams (Larry Adams), his niece Brittany Campbell (Weston Campbell), and a host of cousins, family, and friends who loved him deeply.
Funeral services were held Saturday, November 1, 2025 at the New Generation Church, 1949 New Paintsville Rd, Salyersville, KY 41465. Burial followed in the Highland Memorial Park at Staffordsville, Kentucky. Timothy Hall officiated.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.
