TROY, Ala. — Left-handed pitcher Lucas Litteral is headed into his senior season with the Troy University baseball program.

Litteral is a Magoffin County High School graduate. He is among the stellar recruits for the Troy University baseball program.

Troy University head coach Skylar Meade announced the signing of 15 transfers in August. A total of 13 transfer portal additions and two junior college transfers join six freshmen and four additional juco transfers that signed last fall/winter.

Troy’s 2025 transfer portal haul ranks 19th nationally according to 64Analytics, including being second among mid-majors. It is also the highest-ranked class by a Sun Belt Conference program since 64Analytics began its transfer rankings in 2023.

Litteral transferred to Troy University from Western Kentucky University.

“We are incredibly proud of our entire class, but this group we locked in as Trojans this year will be welcomed with open arms,” Meade said. “We had to address only 21 percent of our innings returning, but we feel that has been accomplished by this crew. On the position player front, we filled some specific needs of defense, bat-to-ball skills, and right-handed bats. As always, the future is bright in 2026, and we can’t wait to see these guys compete in the fall.”

Litteral recorded 70 strikeouts over 53.1 innings across his sophomore and junior seasons at Western Kentucky University. The Magoffin County High School product posted a 4-4 record with four saves during his time with the Hilltoppers, making 35 appearances and one start.

Litteral spent his freshman campaign at Rend Lake College, finishing 8-3 with a 2.91 ERA in 13 starts.
