PIKEVILLE — Redshirt freshman guard Aden Barnett is among 12 University of Pikeville men’s basketball players who have been named to the All-Academic AAC Team.
The Appalachian Athletic Conference (AAC) recognized Barnett and 11 of his University of Pikeville men’s basketball teammates with the academic honors.
Prior to going to the University of Pikeville, Barnett led Magoffin County to the 2023-24 15th Region boys’ basketball title.
UPike led the AAC in academic all-conference selections.
To be nominated for the academic all-conference team, by an institution, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and be in their third term or fourth quarter.
Trenton Adkins, Zion Blevins, Bradley Bunch, Peyton Byrd, Jace Copley, Keynan Cutlip, Evan Goodman, Tanner Hall, Spencer Howard, Eli Johnson, Nicholas Nelson and Keian Worrix were the additional players from UPike who were honored as academic all-conference selections.
